Most issues associated with bones, ligaments, tendons and muscles are impacted by how we move. Many of our movements include the feet. The feet are our base and what starts at our feet has a direct effect on the rest of our body - a foot ailment may interfere with the function of other parts of the body such as knees, hips, and lower backs. Focusing on our feet, where there are over 200,000 nerve endings and over 25% of our bones and over 25% of our muscles, may have a quick impact on our wellbeing.

Natalie's restorative exercise journey started by studying with biomechanist Katy Bowman - becoming a certified Healthy Foot Practitioner. Other training included becoming a Master Barefoot Trainer with Dr. Emily Splichal's Evidence Based Fitness Academy, and Anatomy in Motion training with Gary Ward, the author of What the Foot? Anatomy in Motion is all about the feet, our gait (the way we walk) and how the rest of the body responds.

Natalie has a lot of knowledge to share. A good start point for all of us is to become more aware of our feet. Then work on making our feet both supple and strong with various exercises to stimulate them.
