The past two weekends have been taken over by Move Your DNA workshops. The first in Brisbane and the second in Melbourne. Both were filled with people who are super interested in the work of Katy Bowman and ready to learn the exercises she presents on an experiential basis. This is what the workshop was about - learning the exercises in the book Move Your DNA Restore Your Health Through Natural Movement.
During both weekends wonderful people shared similar beliefs in all sorts of topics including movement, food, organics, feet and footwear and parenting styles. This list could go on. It was really great to go out as a group on a texture walk with half of us leaving our shoes in the studio to take the entire walk barefoot. This was novel as often it is frowned upon - a socially unacceptable thing to be in the city shoeless.
Finding and being with people who have similar values is priceless, especially when you are working with ideas that are not (yet) mainstream. I feel seriously blessed to have encountered members of my 'tribe' and will make every endeavour to keep in touch to continue to grow and learn from shared experiences.
